Why You’ll Want 35mm Film at Your Wedding

(Trust Me on This One)

The timeless magic of nostalgia, captured for real.

There’s just something about film. It’s hard to describe, but if you know—you know.

The softness, the grain, the color tones. The way it feels less “posed” and more like a memory you can hold. It’s raw, imperfect, and unbelievably romantic. That’s why I offer 35mm film photography as an add-on to any session or wedding package—for couples who want that extra dose of nostalgia woven into their story.

So, what is 35mm film?

It’s old-school analog photography—the kind your parents probably used in the 80s and 90s. Each roll of film captures about 36 frames, and every single one is shot with intention. No previews. No deleting. Just honest, beautiful moments frozen exactly as they were.

Why add film to your digital coverage?

Because digital is amazing—but film is timeless.
While I’ll still be documenting your day in high-resolution digital, film brings a softness and depth that digital just can’t replicate. The colors are warmer, the imperfections are beautiful, and the final images feel like a vintage love letter to your wedding day.

The Details:

  • $80 per roll
  • Each roll includes ~36 frames
  • You’ll receive high-resolution digital scans of each film photo, edited to preserve their dreamy, natural tones
  • You can add as many rolls as you’d like to any package—no cap!

Some of my favorite film moments? The quiet in-between ones. Champagne toasts in golden light. Wind in your veil. A hug from grandma. Bare feet on the dance floor. The small things that feel big, forever.

If you’re craving a wedding gallery that feels warm, nostalgic, and a little bit magic—film might be the missing piece.

Ready to add a roll (or three)? Let’s make your day feel like it came straight out of an old movie.

If you're looking for perfectly posed photos where everyone is staring at the camera all day, I'm probably not your photographer.

But if you want beautiful images, gentle direction, and plenty of room to actually enjoy the people you've gathered together, we're probably going to get along just fine.

For the last eight years, I've been documenting weddings with a mix of storytelling, emotion, and just enough guidance so you're never left wondering what to do with your hands.
